What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wardrobe Attendant position at Peppermill Resort Hotel?
The Wardrobe Attendant is responsible for issuing uniforms and equipment, maintaining inventory, and performing basic alterations. This role supports employees by managing uniform distribution and coordinating with other departments as needed.
Duties:
- Performs basic alterations by fitting each employee’s uniforms upon hire; checking for proper fit of the garment; measuring for hems/sleeve lengths; pinning hems; marking hems for alterations; sewing on buttons.
- Maintains stock levels by sending out and receiving laundry and dry cleaning; completes inventory control documents; inspects items for wear and defects; completes repair requests; anticipates needed stock and supplies; notifies supervisor of shortages.
- Performs computer file updates and backups daily by entering necessary information into respective files.
- Works closely with Human Resources and Departments requiring uniforms and related services.
- Ensures operation of equipment, troubleshooting malfunctions and notifies supervisor of problems immediately.
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment.
Qualifications:
- Must have Basic sewing knowledge and skills.
- Must possess Accurate record keeping, filing and inventory skills.
- Must have great Customer service skills
- Must be able to read and write in English.
- Basic math skills required.
- Must have Basic computer skills
