What are the responsibilities and job description for the Document Prep Associate position at Pepper Energy Partners?
Document Prep Associate
Pepper Energy Partners
Hourly | Full-Time or Part-Time | In Person | Monday–Friday | No Nights / No Weekends
About Us
At Pepper Energy Partners, we don’t move paper.
We convert it into usable infrastructure.
Oil and gas companies come to us when their file rooms are full, their corporate drives are chaotic, and their data is slowing them down. We take decades of land files, well records, contracts, and field documentation and turn them into structured, searchable, decision-ready assets.
Before a single document is scanned, it has to be prepared correctly.
That’s where you come in.
The Role
We’re hiring a Document Prep Associate to be the front line of quality.
This is a hands-on position responsible for organizing, reviewing, and preparing physical documents for high-volume digitization. If prep is sloppy, everything downstream suffers. If prep is excellent, the entire operation runs efficiently.
You are the gatekeeper.

- Sort and organize physical documents by box, file, and dataset
- Remove staples, bindings, paper clips, and obstructions
- Repair torn or damaged pages for proper scanning
- Insert separator sheets and maintain correct file sequencing
- Verify box IDs and file labels match project specifications
- Flag irregularities or issues before they hit production
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive oil and gas records
Who Thrives Here
- Highly detail-oriented — you catch what others overlook
- Process-driven — you follow standards exactly
- Comfortable with repetitive, high-volume work
- Physically capable of lifting boxes and standing for extended periods
- Organized and methodical
- Takes pride in clean, structured output
This role requires focus. The work matters.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in document prep, records management, or warehouse organization preferred
- Ability to follow documented procedures precisely
- Strong organizational skills
- Reliable attendance and accountability
- Oil and gas documentation familiarity is a plus
No degree required — we value competence and execution.
What You Get
- Competitive hourly pay
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance (for eligible employees)
- Predictable Monday–Friday schedule
- No nights. No weekends.
- A tight, execution-focused team
- Opportunity to grow as we scale
If you like order, structure, and being the reason operations run smoothly — you’ll do well here.
We’re building data foundations that energy companies rely on.
It starts with disciplined preparation.
Apply with your resume and a short note about why you’re a fit.
