Position Overview
PEPM Group is seeking a Process Engineer / Project Engineer with experience in food-processing facility and production-line design. The ideal candidate will have strong experience sizing, selecting, and designing conveyor and material-handling systems. This is full time on site position in Fayetteville, AR or Tulsa, OK.
Key Responsibilities
- Design food-processing and material-handling systems.
- Size and select conveyors based on product type, capacity, speed, accumulation, sanitation, and operating requirements.
- Develop process flow diagrams, equipment layouts, specifications, and calculations.
- Coordinate processing equipment and conveyors with structural, mechanical, electrical, and controls systems.
- Manage project scope, schedule, budget, vendors, and client communications.
- Support site assessments, construction, commissioning, and plant startup.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related engineering.
- Five or more years of relevant food-processing engineering experience.
- Experience with conveyor design, equipment layouts, line balancing, and production throughput.
- Knowledge of sanitary design and food-safety requirements.
- Strong project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- AutoCAD and Revit experience required.
- USDA-regulated facility experience is required.
- Ability to travel to client and project sites as needed.
