Duties
- Prepare and assemble deli products with precision, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met
- Serve customers efficiently at the deli counter, taking their orders and offering product recommendations through upselling techniques
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process retail sales transactions accurately
- Manage food service customer orders, ensuring timely fulfillment while maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and process cash transactions with accuracy
- Maintain strict food safety standards, sanitation protocols, and proper food handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for all
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently to assist in food preparation tasks as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, food service, or retail sales within a fast-paced environment such as quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems including Aloha POS and Micros POS; cashiering experience is highly valued
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members to enhance the shopping experience
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions accurately and managing inventory levels
- Previous experience working in grocery stores, delis, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and operate kitchen equipment safely
