A 37-year-old, family-owned manufacturer in Moberly is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Operator to join our team. We design and build high-quality science lab and classroom furniture for schools nationwide.
This role is hands-on and varied—ideal for someone who enjoys both programming and working on the shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
- Program and operate CNC routers using Autodesk Inventor and CAM workflows
- Generate and edit G-code for efficient, accurate machining
- Machine components from wood, plywood, and solid phenolic materials
- Set up tooling, fixtures, and materials for daily production
- Work from drawings or create layouts as needed
- Assist with assembly and other shop tasks as production demands
Requirements
- Experience with CNC programming and operation
- Working knowledge of G-code (editing, troubleshooting, optimization)
- Strong general computer skills
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings
Preferred (Not Required)
- Woodworking or cabinet shop experience
- Drafting or CAD experience
- Familiarity with tooling for composites/phenolic materials
- Experience in a custom or make-to-order manufacturing environment
