We are looking to hire a Unit Secretary to join our Peoria Post Acute & Rehab family!
Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
Compensation:
- $16.00 to $18.00 per hour, Depending on Experience
Must be:
- Reliable
- Communicative
- Energetic
- Organized
- Able to multi-task
- Very detail oriented
Responsibilities:
- Schedule patient appointments and transportation
- Maintain the appointment spreadsheet
- Scan and upload documents
- Make copies and fax documents upon receiving an official request for records
- Update patients' information on the computer system.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent degree is required
- Exceptional knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience scheduling patient appointments
- Organize and add detailed information to the personal calendar
- Ability to effectively work within medical record software and update files accurately
- Experience maintaining a professional level of patient privacy in accordance with HIPAA procedures
- Strong written and communication skills when speaking with patients and physicians
