What are the responsibilities and job description for the Housekeeper position at Peoria Post Acute and Rehabilitation?
Schedule:
Fulltime; weekend availability required
Duties:
- Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning and organizing guest rooms, common areas, and laundry facilities.
- Follow established cleaning procedures and guidelines to ensure a clean and sanitary environment.
- Make beds, change linens, and replenish towels and toiletries.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and dust floors and surfaces.
- Empty trash bins and dispose of waste properly.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, sinks, showers, and mirrors.
- Restock supplies as needed.
- Assist with laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.
- Handle guest requests or complaints in a professional and timely manner.
Experience:
- Previous experience in housekeeping or laundry services preferred.
- Familiarity with laundry techniques, skilled nursing and long term care facility.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment.
This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and excellent time management skills. Candidates should be physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks. Strong communication skills are also important for interacting with guests.
