Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the sanitation shift, ensuring efficient and effective cleaning operations.
- Lead and supervise plant personnel, ensuring consistent adherence to sanitation procedures and Company standards.
- Follow and uphold all facility safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with Company policies and all applicable laws.
- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees
- Planning, assigning, and directing work
- Conducting performance evaluations
- Rewarding and disciplining employees
- Addressing complaints and resolving issues
- Maintain a strong focus on food quality and food safety through strict adherence to Company SSOPs, GMPs, and the master sanitation schedule.
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of chemical usage, titration procedures, and chemical safety requirements.
- Understand and apply knowledge of goals, yields, variances, and related operational calculations.
- Bachelor’s degree; or two to three years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Four to five years of progressive experience working with industrial food manufacturing equipment and chemical sanitation processes.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of computers, desktop applications, and business systems.
- Strong basic math skills (high school equivalency).
- Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and relevant federal and state safety regulations.
- Familiarity with food processing, HACCP, GMPs, and sanitation practices preferred.
