The ideal candidate has strong industrial electrical experience, excels at diagnosing equipment issues, and is committed to preventative maintenance, continuous improvement, and workplace safety.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical, electronic, and electromechanical equipment to minimize production downtime.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on manufacturing equipment, facility systems, and plant infrastructure.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, motors, drives, transformers, switchgear, lighting, control panels, and power distribution systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation to support repairs and new equipment installations.
- Test electrical circuits, components, and equipment using appropriate diagnostic tools and meters.
- Troubleshoot PLC-controlled equipment, sensors, relays, VFDs, motor controls, and automated production systems.
- Install, calibrate, and maintain industrial instrumentation and process control equipment as needed.
- Support equipment upgrades, capital projects, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve reliability and efficiency.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and preventive maintenance documentation using the plant's maintenance management system.
- Partner with production personnel to resolve equipment issues quickly while maintaining product quality and operational efficiency.
- Assist in training operators on proper equipment operation and basic preventative maintenance practices.
- Follow all company safety policies, GMPs, OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and electrical safety standards.
- Participate in emergency breakdown response and support scheduled maintenance activities as required.
- Contribute to a clean, organized, and safe work environment while supporting overall plant performance.
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Electrical Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, motor controls, PLCs, automation, instrumentation, and electrical troubleshooting.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Experience using electrical testing and diagnostic equipment.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently while responding effectively to changing production priorities.
