Assistant Project Manager - Infrastructure Construction (Water, Sewer, Underground Utilities)
Our client is a leading company the infrastructure construction business. Our client solves the toughest challenges in failing water, sewer, and industrial / utilities infrastructure. They have us searching for an Assistant Project Manager to add to an all-star team.
It is the responsibility of the Assistant Project Manager to ensure all front-end project requirements are met to assure success. This position is responsible for overseeing several project startups at once while working with multiple Project Managers. Typical job duties include: contractual administration, assistance in the pre-bid phase, assistance estimating, bid submission, and contractual administration. Along with these duties, the Assistant Project Manager will assist management with day to day activities, report generation and other duties assigned. Duties include but are not limited to
- Oversee the preparation and revision of contracts / bid packages and ensure deadline submission.
- Order plans / specs / bid documents;
- Collaborates with insurance agents and bonding agents requesting and administering various documents;
- Organize office operations and procedures
- Conducts daily review of all project agreements, contracts, invoices, and cost estimates
- Create and maintain project files
- Prepares reports and maintains logs pertaining to Bids / RFQs;
- Communicate issues, events, performance and progress daily to the Project Manager.
- Establish effective working relationships with clients and team members.
- Develop start-up schedule with Project Manager and send it to the Operations Managers for review.
- Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.

Skills required:
- High School Diploma/GED Required. Must be 18 years of age.
- 3 years of related experience in construction/utility fields.
- Driver’s license consistent with company standards
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday. - Flexibility is required as job duties demand.
