Experienced Assistant Branch Manager

The Assistant Branch Manager plays a key role in helping us uphold or mission of “People first, always” every day by supporting both the operational and lending sides of the branch, while developing and guiding staff toward excellence.

This is a full-time, in-branch position—perfect for someone who thrives on in-person connection, values community, and is ready to roll up their sleeves and lead by example.

What You’ll Do:

In this leadership role, you’ll support the overall direction and daily operations of the branch, ensuring efficient processes, compliance with policies and regulations, and a consistently exceptional member experience. This position partners closely with the Branch Manager to coach and develop staff, support performance goals, and maintain high standards of service and professionalism across the team.

The Assistant Branch Manager also plays a vital role in lending operations, acting as a Loan Officer — meeting with members, reviewing and underwriting loans, and processing approvals within authorized limits. You’ll be an active contributor to business development, member relationship growth, and the promotion of credit union products and services, also serving as the acting Branch Manager when needed and providing continuity in leadership and branch performance.

Because the credit union space is unique, prior credit union and lending experience are required for this position. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of industry nuances, regulatory considerations, and member-focused service expectations that set credit unions apart.

What We’re Looking For:

• A strong, confident leader with a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in the credit union space is a must.
• Solid understanding of lending practices, branch operations, and compliance is also essential.
• Proven ability to inspire, coach, and lead teams with professionalism and care.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
