General Responsibilities
The Investment Analyst supports the firm’s portfolio management, research, and client service functions. You’ll work directly with senior portfolio managers to help maintain investment models, monitor client portfolios, and contribute to the firm’s internally managed equity and fixed income strategies. Over time, you’ll gain exposure to security analysis, trading workflows, and client communication.
Essential Duties
Portfolio Management & Trading Support
- Assist in monitoring client portfolios for drift, cash needs, and rebalancing opportunities.
- Support execution of trades across individual equities and individual fixed income securities within the firm’s laddered bond strategy.
- Prepare pre-trade and post trade reports to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal guidelines.
- Update model portfolios and track changes in holdings, weights, and performance.
Investment Research & Analysis
- Conduct fundamental research on large cap U.S. equities, including reviewing earnings reports, analyst commentary, and company filings.
- Support fixed income research by gathering data on credit quality, yield curves, and maturity structures.
- Maintain internal research databases, watch-lists, and investment notes.
- Assist in preparing materials for investment committee meetings.
Client Reporting & Communication
- Prepare quarterly performance reports, portfolio summaries, and customized client materials.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding holdings, performance, and market conditions.
- Contribute to market commentary, investment updates, and educational content.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Assist with account openings, transfers, and custodial paperwork.
- Ensure data accuracy across CRM, portfolio accounting, and trading systems.
- Support compliance tasks such as documentation, audit preparation, and recordkeeping.
Ancillary Duties
Performs tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or re-designed depending upon individual circumstances.

Requirements
Education/Training: A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field required. Training in analytical methods, financial research, and investment concepts needed. Progress toward professional designations such as the CFA® or CFP® is preferred but not required.
Skill(s):Must demonstrate strong analytical and quantitative abilities; high attention to detail and comfort working with numerical data; proficiency with Excel and willingness to learn portfolio management and trading systems; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to interpret financial statements and basic valuation concepts; curiosity about markets, investing, and wealth management.
Experience: Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in internship experience in finance, banking, or investments preferred. Experience conducting research, preparing reports, or supporting financial analysis is beneficial.
