Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. This role is essential in supporting patient care through clinical tasks, accurate documentation, and effective communication with providers virtually. Duties
- Perform and record patient vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, pulse, and oxygen levels
- Conduct and process diagnostic testing, including specimen collection and swabs (e.g., respiratory, lab testing)
- Accurately document patient information, histories, and clinical data within the electronic medical record (EMR) system
- Assist in coordinating patient care by communicating effectively with providers through virtual platforms
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, ensuring comfort and understanding
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of clinical areas and supplies
- Follow all infection control, safety, and compliance guidelines
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient support throughout the visit
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred
- Prior clinical experience in a healthcare setting is preferred
- Proficiency in EMR systems and basic computer skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
