What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facilities Assistant-Part time (0.5) position at Peoples Community Health Clinic?
Summary: Works under the supervision of the Facilities Manager to ensure that all building systems and operations are operating efficiently and that the building premises and personnel are secure. Assists in performing repairs and maintenance duties as needed. Assists in ensuring sufficient levels of clinic supplies, requisitioning, tagging, and stocking of clinic materials. Performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission of Peoples Community Health Clinic, Inc.
Essential Functions:
- Assists with the completion, prevention, and routine maintenance of facilities and grounds.
- Works with supply inventory and fixed asset records.
- Secures and monitors premises and personnel
- Support a service-oriented atmosphere in accordance with Peoples Community Health Clinic mission and philosophy.
- Works to improve work processes and clinical outcomes including health disparity and quality improvement collaborative.
- Follows policies and procedures.
- Develops and maintains own competence.
- Maintains a safe working environment and practices safe working habits.
- Assists in the control of Peoples Community Health Clinic resources.
- Performs other duties assigned.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience in building maintenance and supply inventory preferred.
Other Skills: General maintenance skills. Ability to work with a diverse group of people, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision or with a team.
If driving, valid Iowa driver’s license and proof of insurance.
