POSITION SUMMARY:
**Actual Annual Salary is dependant upon experience**
A Loan Officer will establish and maintain good customer relations and prospect for potential loan customers through daily interactions with current customers and various community members at large. They will gather pertinent information and data that will be used to evaluate and recommend approval or denial of consumer, commercial and real estate loans.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and to answer questions about the process.
- Obtain and analyze loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information to determine applicant’s credit worthiness.
- Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
- Review loan agreements to ensure that they are complete and accurate according to policy.
- Rejects loans by explaining deficiencies to applicants.
- Completes loan contracts by explaining provisions to applicant; obtaining signatures and notarizations; collecting fees.
- Maintain customer confidence by keeping loan information confidential.
- Cross-sells bank products by informing customers of new services and product promotions.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
- Exemplify the highest levels of professional integrity and ethical standards and represent the bank in a positive manner at all times, inside and outside of the workplace.
- Position requires active community involvement and may require occasional travel for training or to provide coverage at other locations.
- Perform other duties as requested.
