Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $19 - $23 / hour*

What you'll be doing as a Cook:

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions
• Cooking on and using a hot grill
• Clean kitchen
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean, organized, and stocked per standards
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and correctly
• Attend in-service and safety meetings
• Maintain positive working relationships with coworkers, customers, and management
• Perform all duties safely while ensuring a clean, safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Available shifts:

Shift Timings: 1st Shift (Day), 2nd Shift (Evening), Weekends

Job requirements:

• Ability to prepare food following standardized recipes and procedures
• Knowledge of safe food handling practices and HACCP standards
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in kitchen and storage areas
• Strong attention to detail in food presentation, portion control, and serving temperatures
• Ability to work safely, using required protective equipment (cut gloves, oven mitts, slip-resistant shoes)
• Good communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with coworkers
• Flexibility to perform other related duties as needed
• SERV safe certificate and a city of Chicago managers license needed
