Note: The hourly rate for this position is $20 - $35 / hour. This range is a good-faith estimate based on factors such as relevant skills, experience, education, training, geographic location and other considerations permitted by law. Responsibilities:
Perform excavation and grading tasks as required for site preparation and utilities installation
Load and unload materials such as dirt, gravel, and debris
Perform routine maintenance checks on the excavator to ensure it is in good working condition
Read and interpret plans and instructions from supervisors Follow safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe work environment
Collaborate with other team members to ensure project tasks are completed efficiently and on time
Qualifications:
3+ years experience Proficient in operating various types of excavators (e.g., crawler, wheeled, mini-excavators) and related attachments (e.g., buckets, augers, and hammers)
Knowledge of hydraulic systems and mechanical principles used in excavators
Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and site layout drawings
Proficient in using GPS systems and other site positioning tools to ensure accurate excavation
Strong attention to safety and detail Physical stamina and ability to work in outdoor environments
Must have proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
Ability to work at least 40+ hours a week
