Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Carpenter/Laborer to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks on residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will help ensure that projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards of quality. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to accurately execute project requirements.
- Use hand tools and power tools for woodworking, framing, trim carpentry, siding, fixture installation, and other carpentry tasks.
- Operate woodworking machines safely to cut, shape, and assemble wood construction materials.
- Perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for framing, rebar installation, plastering, stucco application, and water damage restoration.
- Install doors, windows, moldings, siding, and other fixtures with precision and care.
- Assist with remodeling projects by performing tasks such as tile laying, caulking, drywall repair (including plastering), and mold remediation.
- Follow safety protocols related to power tool operation and construction site safety to maintain a secure work environment.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry roles with a focus on residential projects.
- Ability to read construction plans and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, hammers, chisels, and measuring devices; familiarity with power tools for woodworking is essential.
- Knowledge of woodworking machines and techniques used in framing, trim carpentry, siding installation, and fixture mounting.
- Experience with rebar installation, water damage restoration processes, mold remediation or related restoration industry experience is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Understanding of construction estimating processes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Commitment to safety practices including power tool safety protocols.
