Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of a team of sheet metal workers.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution.
- Plan and schedule project work while ensuring adherence to deadlines and quality standards.
- Oversee the fabrication, assembly, installation, and repair of sheet metal products and equipment.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards.
- Train and mentor team members in techniques, safety protocols, and best practices.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment at all times.
Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in the sheet metal trade, with 2 years in a supervisory role preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sheet metal fabrication, installation, and repair processes.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications.
- Proficient in operating and maintaining sheet metal tools and equipment.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and OSHA standards (OSHA 10 preferred).
- Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with a team.
- Reliable transportation and a commitment to punctuality and attendance.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Comfortable working in varying weather conditions and environments.
Additional Requirements:
- Tools of the trade and proper personal protective equipment (PPE) are required.
- Pre-employment drug screen and background check may be required.
