Now Hiring: Pipefitter – 1st Shift | Youngstown, OH | $20–$28/hr.
PRST is looking for skilled Pipefitters to join our team in Youngstown, Ohio on 1st shift. If you have experience working with threaded pipe systems and enjoy hands-on fabrication and installation work, this is a great opportunity to grow your career.
Responsibilities:
- Lay out, assemble, and install threaded pipe systems and supports on compressor packages
- Select proper pipe types, sizes, and materials (including supports and hangers) based on specifications
- Plan installations to avoid obstructions and workflow interference
- Cut, thread, and bend pipe to precise measurements
- Assemble and install metal piping systems using iron, steel, copper, and stainless steel
- Connect piping using threaded joints
- Secure piping with brackets, clamps, and hangers
- Test systems for leaks by pressurizing lines and monitoring gauges
- Weld pipe supports to structural steel as needed
- Opportunity to cross-train in electrical and tubing work
- Previous experience as a pipefitter or in a similar mechanical role
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience cutting, threading, and installing threaded pipe systems
- Basic welding experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment
- Reliable transportation and strong work ethic
