Forklift Operator

Peoplelink Staffing, in partnership with a prominent distribution center in the Petersburg/Dinwiddie area, is seeking Forklift Operators to join their team!  
 
Forklift Operator Job Summary:

Payrate:  $18 an hour

Shifts Available:

• • 1st  Shift              5:00am – 3:30pm (Tuesday – Friday)      
  • Weekend:            6:00am – 6:00pm (Saturday, Sun & Monday)
  • Weekend:             6:00pm – 6:00am (Saturday, Sun & Monday)

Forklift Operator Responsibilities

• Load and unload with precision.  Safely operate forklifts to move materials and load/unload trailers
• Perform equipment checks Conduct routine safety inspections on forklifts before and during shifts.
• Follow inventory procedures.  Stage and move products according to specific facility guidelines.
• Sort and support.  Hand-sort pallets based on product specifications and maintain strict quality standards.
• Maintain production pace.  Achieve daily operational goals with high efficiency and accuracy.
• Stay Clean and Organized.  Practice “Clean as you Go” to keep workspaces safe and free of debris.
• Other duties as assigned

Forklift Operator Qualifications

• Previous experience operating propane sit down forklift and pallet jack a must
• Ability to handle physical labor, including lifting up to 70lbs and repetitive motions
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Production based warehouse a plus.
• High School diploma, GED or equivalent work experience preferred
