Job Description
The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist to help patients improve functional abilities and regain independence with daily living activities. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, team-oriented, and passionate about helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans established by the Occupational Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and functional activities
- Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Educate patients and caregivers on therapy techniques and home programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare staff to ensure quality patient care
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Active California COTA license
- SNF experience preferred
- Strong communication and patient care skills
- New graduates encouraged to apply
