We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Engineer to join our team at Fort Belvoir. In this critical role, you'll provide essential contractual support to the Joint Personnel Recovery Agency (JPRA), focusing on systems assessments. Systems Engineer or Operations Research Systems Analyst (ORSA) functions encompass planning, familiarization with design and execution of experiments, with core competencies in conducting analysis and generating reports, organizing and facilitating working group.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the operational effectiveness and suitability of existing and emerging technologies, tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Assess system capabilities and provide information for the development of capability improvement plans to satisfy joint requirements and operational needs.
- Identify possible non-material solutions such as concepts of operation (CONOPS) and JTTPs, to satisfy joint requirements and operational needs.
- When directed by the Government, support JPRA-led, demonstrations and experiments during military exercises. Plan and execute experiments; conduct analysis and generate system assessment reports.
- Support the development of interoperability requirements and standards.
- When directed by the Government, collaborate with applicable Services, Combatant Commands (CCMDs), Inter-agency, and private sector entities to identify and develop design requirements, improvement plans for existing and emerging technologies, and capabilities.
- Plan and conduct Government/Industry forums or Working Groups when directed.
- The contractor shall participate in military exercises, experiments, conferences, seminars, or working groups when directed by the Government and prepare AARs within 5 working days following conference, seminar, or working group attendance. AARs shall be prepared and submitted in accordance with JPRA procedures (CDRL A003)
- Requires regular travel as a core part of its responsibilities.
- Author documents at the Service Headquarters, Joint Staff, or Combatant Command Headquarters levels.
- Provide leadership for highly complex and challenging activities under the minimal direction of a manager or executive.
- Analyze and develop innovative approaches, methodologies, or techniques to personnel recovery problem issues.
