- Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS).
- Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems.
- Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations.
- Manages the procurement, receipt and issue of all parts and generates repair parts usage reports to update the ELMS/DPAS database.
- Provide direct supervisory oversight of arts and Maintenance Customer Service Representative.
- Manages initial request, turn-in, and issue documents (DD Form 1149) of required ancillary gear to support team personnel and SEALS. Receives and coordinates the inventory and inspection of post-deployment return of all weapons accessories (ancillary) gear and help to determine the serviceability of received ancillary equipment for re-issue.
- Travel as required CONUS and OCONUS for new equipment training, armory related conferences, and as assessment contact team member.
- Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
- Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening.
- Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
- 3 years’ experience repairing small arms.
