PWS Title: Principal Subject Matter Expert Science & Technology (Precision Effects / Directed Energy)
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA
Clearance Type: Top Secret
Responsibilities:
- Support the APM for Precision Effects/Directed Energy in development and acquisition of sensitive PE/DE materiel.
- Review acquisition and contracting strategy documentation and associated communications to ensure technical and programmatic alignment.
- Provide security and vulnerability assessments and develop inputs to program protection plans for advanced PE/DE systems.
- Coordinate with internal and external S&T stakeholders to transition technologies from lab to field.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years in defense S&T, weapons systems, or directed energy programs, including 5 years on advanced or sensitive efforts requiring program protection.
- Demonstrated familiarity with PE/DE technologies and their operational applications.
- Experience performing or supporting security/vulnerability assessments and program protection planning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a relevant S&T field.
- Experience supporting SOF or other special mission organizations on advanced weapons or directed energy efforts.
