Role : AWS Platform Security Architect
Location: Redmond, WA
Employment: Full Time with People Tech
We are looking for a hands-on AWS Platform Security Architect to design, secure, and scale our AWS cloud platform globally.
What you’ll do
• Own AWS security architecture across accounts, VPCs, and regions
* Design secure landing zones (multi-account, IAM, SCPs, Guardrails)
* Implement security controls using IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, Config, GuardDuty, Security Hub
* Secure workloads across EC2, EKS, Lambda, API Gateway, and serverless platforms
* Define network security (VPC design, NACLs, Security Groups, PrivateLink)
* Build security automation using CloudFormation / Terraform / CDK
* Lead cloud security reviews, threat modeling, and risk mitigation
* Support audits & compliance (ISO, SOC2, PCI, HIPAA – as applicable)
* Act as security advisor to platform, DevOps, and application teams
Must-have skills
• 8 years in cloud / infrastructure with strong AWS security focus
* Deep expertise in AWS IAM, networking, encryption, and logging
* Hands-on with AWS Organizations & multi-account strategy
* Strong understanding of Zero Trust & least-privilege access
* Experience securing databases (RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Redshift)
* Infrastructure as Code (Terraform / CloudFormation)
Nice to have
AWS Security Specialty / Solutions Architect certification
* Experience with EKS security, container security, WAF, Shield
* Experience enabling DevSecOps & security automation
* Ability to mentor teams and drive cloud security best practices
Salary : $150,000 - $180,000
