Job Summary
We’re seeking to hire a highly motivated and customer-oriented professional as an Account Manager with direct experience in the carrier/wholesale telecom space - someone who understands how carriers work together operationally and technically. This person will manage a portfolio of carrier partners, drive revenue, support order flow, and ensure strong partner satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of existing carrier accounts
- Respond to partner requests, handle quoting, and support RFPs/RFQs.
- Oversee order flow: quote → order submission → install → billing → escalation support.
- Understand partner network maps, on-net/off-net capabilities, and build strategies around footprint expansion.
- Maintain strong relationships with carrier contacts in sales, engineering, operations, and procurement.
- Drives new and incremental revenue ideas with Account Executives
- Acts as a key contributor in a complex and crucial environment
- Performs both transactional account management as well as organic new business development
- Builds connections with key decision-makers at both the agency and client levels.
- Maintains up-to-date customer records and participates in sales forecasting
- Provides feedback and suggestions to management regarding new product additions
Qualifications
- 2 years in carrier/wholesale account management or carrier support roles preferred.
- Strong knowledge of carrier service types, circuit IDs, and telecom terminology.
- Familiarity with selling or supporting services such as: Ethernet transport (E-Line, E-LAN, EVPL, EPL) DIA, IP transit, NNI/ENNI, Backhaul (wireless, fiber, middle mile), Voice services.
- Understanding of circuit provisioning, order management, and general delivery lifecycle.
- Experience collaborating with Sales Engineers, Provisioning, Billing, and NOC teams.
- Excellent communication and account-ownership mindset.
- Able to navigate complex carrier processes and follow up relentlessly.
- Organized with strong attention to detail (critical in carrier order management).
- Experience with Salesforce, or similar systems is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree Preferred (Not required)
