About the Role:
The Billing Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of billing processes within the organization. This position is responsible for managing invoicing, processing payments, and resolving any discrepancies related to customer accounts. The Billing Specialist collaborates closely with finance, sales, and customer service teams to maintain clear and effective communication regarding billing matters. By maintaining detailed records and adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements, this role supports the organization's financial health and customer satisfaction. Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Proven experience in billing, invoicing, or accounts receivable roles.
- Proficiency with billing software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial transactions.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or QuickBooks.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and compliance standards.
- Background in customer service or account management.
- Certification in billing or accounting (e.g., Certified Billing Specialist).
