What are the responsibilities and job description for the Checking / Operations Clerk - Credit Union position at People's Alliance Federal Credit Union?
People's Alliance Federal Credit Union is seeking a Temporary Checking / Operations Clerk for our Hauppauge, NY branch. Primary job function will be to assist our members by answering telephone calls and responding to basic account information.
This is a Full-Time temporary position with strong potential to transition to a Full-Time Direct Hire.
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:15 AM-4:15 PM (with a paid 30-minute lunch break)
Responsibilities:
- Service members in a courteous and efficient manner
- Assist members with online banking, account questions, checking inquiries and Zelle account transfers
- Answer member phone calls with excellent phone etiquette
- Establish and maintain relationships with members while adhering to high service standards
- Cross-sell credit union products to all members
- Filing paperwork
- Assisting other departments as needed
- *Make payment arrangements on our loans
Requirements:
- Banking and/or strong customer service experience is necessary
- Effective interpersonal and problem solving skills
- Ability to work in a high volume customer service environment
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
- **High school diploma or equivalent a must.
- **Bilingual, English/Spanish is a plus
