Configuration Engineer

Job Description
The Configuration Engineer I will manage product structures, engineering definitions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) for Steam Turbine and Generator products. The role involves Configuration Management (CM), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and collaboration with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to ensure accurate product definitions and timely project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain Engineering BOMs (EBOMs), Unit BOMs, and Manufacturing BOMs (MBOMs).
- Manage product configurations and project scope definitions within PLM systems.
- Identify and resolve BOM discrepancies and configuration issues.
- Support BOM reviews, standard parts validation, and Configure-to-Order initiatives.
- Execute change management processes and monitor BOM integrity.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and sourcing teams to improve processes and ensure compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, or Computer Science.
- Experience with product definition, BOM management, Configuration Management, project scheduling, and field installation.
