What are the responsibilities and job description for the ASSISTANT DIRECTOR, DAY SERVICES position at PEOPLE INC.?
Hourly Pay Range: $23.00-$31.50
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-3:30pm
As a member of the management team, the Assistant Director will ensure that the programs are of high quality with focus on agency mission, vision and values, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for internal quality improvement reviews, follow up and related activities, procedure and policy development in conjunction with AVPs and/or agency leadership, processing billing activities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSBILITIES:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding/knowledge base of the programs/models.
- Works collaboratively with agency Admissions and related support departments to ensure efficient program placement and continued enrollment growth.
- Identify and implement current program needs based on Internal/External reviews, director/associate vice president input, and overall observations.
- Responsible for providing ongoing quality reviews of designated programs area and supporting the programs with tools for improving and maintaining high quality.
- Attend Day Services PD/SDS/SES meetings to give input on appropriate goals and training; actively participate in other agency committees and initiatives as assigned.
- Provide ongoing training to program staff and supervisors on regulatory requirements, active programming, policies and procedures.
- Formulates recommendations for the development and modification of program policies and communicates these timely to AVPs.
- Collaborate with agency Quality Improvement team to promote and ensure quality and efficiency.
- Coach and mentor program staff to improve overall meaningful activities, program concepts, and regulatory compliance.
- Assists with training Senior Day Supervisors on program operating procedures.
- Comply with all agency policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates Degree in related field/Bachelor’s preferred or equivalent of 10 years’ experience working in the field of I/DD.
- Computer knowledge and skills.
- Equivalent combination of training and experience;
- Working knowledge of developmental disabilities I/DD.
- Ability to organize and manage multiple reviews.
- Must have sound judgment, flexibility and dependability.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but acts as a continuous leader.
