Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Assistant

People Incorporated of Virginia is currently seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Housing Choice Voucher Administrative Assistant for our Abingdon office. This is a part time position. Prior experience working with low income individuals preferred.  Travel to properties to meet with property owners and housing managers and conducting unit inspections will be required. Other duties and responsibilities are as follows:

• Assisting the Housing Choice Voucher Coordinator with unit inspections and case management including intake certification.
• Work with property owners and managers.
• Determine client eligibility for housing choice vouchers, project based vouchers, mainstream vouchers and emergency vouchers.
• Assist with recruitment of property owners to make dwelling units available.
