About The Team
Located in Birmingham, Alabama, is the People Inc. Food Studios, a state-of-the-art facility featuring 28 test kitchens, 13 photo studios, a prop and styling studio, an outdoor grill/BBQ station, and an expansive showcase kitchen and tasting room for demonstrations and events. Powered by a talented team of test kitchen professionals, stylists, and photographers, the People Inc. Food Studios is the country’s premier creative hub, producing thousands of world-class recipes, images, and related content annually for People Inc.’s print, digital, and social platforms.

Responsibilities Will Include
- Assist the food stylists with grocery shopping, recipe prep, and organization of kitchens and workspaces
- Prepare recipes on camera for hosted social videos
- Work with the Test Kitchen Coordinator to shop and the stock the pantries and cold-storage areas in the kitchen
- Ensure the workstations are stocked with ingredients before recipe preparation
- Follow your food stylist’s lead to prepare recipes for photography
- File all expense reports for accounting purposes
Candidates for this role should have:
- B.S., B.A., Culinary degree or equivalent professional cooking experience
- Food styling assisting experience preferred
- You have a thorough knowledge of food and cooking techniques and are inquisitive about food trends
- You’re a spirited self-starter and the first to tackle an obstacle
- You have excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and follow-through
- The ability to effectively manage and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously
