The Role
As a Lead Data Scientist, you will own the design, development, and evolution of core pricing and decisioning systems. This is a highly applied role where your models directly influence real-time decisions and financial outcomes. You’ll operate with high autonomy, working closely with the founders to refine strategy, improve model performance, and manage risk in a constantly shifting environment.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the development and iteration of pricing and bidding models across multiple production systems
- Build and optimize feature pipelines leveraging live, external signals
- Design models that account for uncertainty, volatility, and rapidly changing conditions
- Continuously monitor and manage risk exposure in real time
- Tackle complex edge cases and non-linear dynamics in real-world data
- Collaborate directly with founders on modeling strategy and system design
- Ship quickly, evaluate outcomes, and iterate with tight feedback loops
