Loss Prevention Associate

Job description:We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Loss Prevention Associate to join our security team. This role is vital in safeguarding company assets, preventing theft, and maintaining a safe shopping environment. he ideal candidate will have strong observational skills, proven experience minimizing loss, and the ability to maintain a safe, secure environment for customers and employees. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a secure and trustworthy retail environment through proactive loss prevention strategies and effective incident response.Pay Rate: $21/hourSchedule: Flexible, Monday–SundayFull-Time, TemporaryResponsibilities:Monitor sales floor, stockrooms, and store entrances to prevent theft, fraud, and safety incidents.Conduct regular surveillance via CCTV and in-store patrols.Identify suspicious behavior and take appropriate action in line with company policies.Assist in internal investigations involving shrink, policy violations, or accidents.Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs.Partner with store management to support loss prevention strategies and reduce shrink.Ensure compliance with company safety standards and emergency procedures.Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a visible deterrent presence.Qualifications:Minimum 3 years of loss prevention, security, or asset protection experience (retail environment preferred).Strong knowledge of LP best practices, safety protocols, and investigation techniques.Ability to remain calm and professional during high-pressure situations.Strong communication and report-writing skills.Ability to work a flexible schedule, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as needed.Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to company policies.Physical ability to remain alert during long shifts and respond quickly when necessary.*** A Loss Prevention Associate is essential for maintaining a safe shopping environment while protecting company assets through vigilant observation, thorough investigation, and effective communication skills.***If you are interested in joining our team and contributing to a safe, positive shopping environment, we encourage you to apply now or call our office at (909)233-7199!Company DescriptionSpecializing in the placement of professionals in the logistics & manufacturing world, People First Employment can help you find the job you need to get to the next level!
