Penz Automotive Group is hiring for a Human Resources Generalist to support the development of our HR department within a growing auto group.
The HR Generalist is responsible for daily human resources operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, payroll support and recruitment. This role serves as a point of contact for employees and management, helping maintain a positive work environment while ensuring adherence to company policies and employment laws.

Essential Functions
- Assist in the development, review, and maintenance of job descriptions
- Administer employee benefits programs and respond to benefits-related inquiries
- Coordinate and facilitate new hire onboarding and employee orientation
- Support pay administration processes and maintain accurate payroll-related records
- Manage and maintain internal and external job postings and recruitment advertisements
- Administer workers’ compensation processes and assist with ADA and FMLA documentation and compliance activities
- Complete employment and income verification requests in a timely and confidential manner
- Review employee timecards, investigate discrepancies, and resolve timekeeping issues
- Maintain, organize, digitize, and securely file employee records in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
- Provide administrative HR Support
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 1 year of HR experience
Preferred Qualifications
- 3 years of HR experience
- Understanding of benefits administration and confidential employee record management
This role is best suited for someone who is comfortable working in an evolving environment, adaptable to change, and excited to help shape processes and contribute ideas as we continue building and improving the department. The ability seek out information independently when the path forward is undefined will be essential.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
