What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at Pentwell?
The Maintenance technician, reporting to the Director of Maintenance, will be responsible for ensuring that general repairs, improvements and maintenance requests are performed properly and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
A Pentwell Maintenance Technician has, at a minimum, the following responsibilities:
- Works with Property Managers to execute work orders on managed properties.
- Works with Property Managers to assist in property turns.
- Maintains and makes general repairs to plumbing fixtures, furniture, woodwork, electrical system, appliances, ventilation system, and building structure.
- Paints, pressure washes, cleans, and repairs equipment, sidewalks, building structure, etc., as needed.
- Installs new electrical outlets, light fixtures and repairs electrical appliances.
- Replaces leaking pipes and faucets.
- Performs various duties usually requiring experience as a carpenter, painter, plumber and electrician.
- Assists in maintaining grounds when needed.
- Other duties as assigned by Managing Broker or as business and demand dictates.
Physical Requirements
- Sitting, standing and walking required.
- Position requires frequent stooping, bending and lifting of up to 75 lbs.
- Climbing stairs, reaching, stretching, and moving furniture required.
Desired Skills and Experience
- MUST HAVE tools, reliable transportation and appropriate understanding of how to perform the tasks described above.
- HVAC certification
- HS diploma or higher
- 2 years of experience in similar role or equivalent experience/knowledge preferred.
- Great people, organizational and communication skills required.
- Be proficient in working with technology and adaptable to online systems
- Must be a self starter type individual who takes initiative to get stuff done.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
