We are seeking an experienced Harness CAE Designer to support automotive wiring harness development using Siemens Capital tools. The role involves end-to-end harness design, including logical system design, physical routing, validation, and manufacturing deliverables. The candidate will work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality, production-ready harness designs aligned with OEM standards.
Key Responsibilitie
sHarness Design & Developmen
- tPerform complete automotive wiring harness design using Siemens Capita
- lDevelop logical wiring architecture including power distribution and communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet, FlexRay
- )Define connectivity between ECUs, sensors, actuators, and other electrical component
sPhysical Harness Desig
- nCreate physical harness layouts including routing, bundle structure, splices, and breakout
- sDefine connectors, terminals, and wire attributes (gauge, color, material, shielding
- )Ensure alignment with vehicle packaging and existing CAD dat
aManufacturing Output
- sGenerate 2D harness drawings for production releas
- eCreate BOMs, wire lists, connectivity reports, splice tables, and cut-length report
- sDeliver release-ready and change-controlled design dataset
sValidation & Analysi
- sPerform electrical validation including rule checks and circuit protection validatio
- nSupport voltage drop analysis and design consistency check
- sProvide data for downstream simulation tool
sData Integration & Benchmarkin
- gImport and utilize CATIA and EAZ data for harness developmen
- tPerform comparisons between Siemens Capital and legacy tool output
- sIdentify gaps and recommend improvement
