RN – REGISTERED NURSE CONSULTANT
Pay: $30/hour | Average Hours: 20/month

About the Role:
PENTA NASCENT is seeking a compassionate, organized, and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to provide direct nursing care in residential settings for individuals with developmental disabilities. The RN will obtain DHS Train the Trainer Certification to teach and delegate medication administration to non-licensed direct support staff, ensuring safe, high-quality care for up to 16 residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, treatments, and monitor vital signs per physician orders; ensure accurate documentation.
- Serve as a liaison with physicians, pharmacists, and families/guardians regarding resident health and care plans.
- Participate in admissions, discharges, and ongoing care coordination.
- Implement self-medication programs for residents capable of administering their own medications.
- Train and support staff on medication administration, nursing procedures, and emergency protocols.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas; follow infection control and safety standards.
- Uphold resident rights, confidentiality, and mandated reporting requirements.
- Perform additional duties as assigned, including patient transfers and other nursing tasks.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved RN program.
- Current Illinois RN licensure, CPR/CPI certification, and valid driver’s license required.
- 1–2 years’ experience in ICF/DD or residential care preferred.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
