Adult Education Evening Instructor for Esthetics

STARTING DATE:          2025 – 2026 School Year, on an as-needed basis

REPORTS TO:                Supervisor of Workforce Development

WORK YEAR:                 August – May; Availability Mon-Thur. evenings from 4:00 – 9:00 as needed, some Saturdays

SALARY RANGE:            $38 per hour with opportunity to advance

QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to obtain appropriate valid Ohio teaching license/certificate (no teaching experience or degree needed)
• Ability to obtain Esthetics Instructor or Cosmetology Instructor license from the Ohio Cosmetology and Barber Board prior to beginning teaching
• Minimum of 5 years documented experience in Esthetics
• Ability to communicate effectively in an adult education environment
• Dependable and flexible to various work schedules
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized workshop
• Highly motivated self-starter with excellent organizational skills
• Strong positive interpersonal and public relation skills
• Must work well in a cohesive team atmosphere
• Documented evidence of a clear criminal record

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

• Ability to instruct, retain and successfully complete students enrolled in the part time Esthetics program
• Provide students instruction in facials, exfoliation, waxing, and makeup application
• Train students on various body treatments and products aimed at improving skin health
• Prepare students for Ohio Cosmetology and Barber Board Esthetics practical and written exams
• Work to prepare students for employment opportunities within spas, salons, and dermatology offices
• Maintain complete and accurate records as required by law, district policy and administrative regulation
• Actively assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulation and Board Policy
• Remain free of any non-prescribed controlled substance or alcohol abuse in the workplace throughout employment
• Assume any other responsibilities as assigned by the Board of Education, Superintendent, Supervisor, or their designee(s)
