The Service Valet is responsible for moving service guest vehicles to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, to increase guest convenience, and to maintain an orderly service parking area.

Position is 100% on-site.

Hourly Rate of $18.00 up to $20.00.

Essential Duties

• Installs and removes disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and ID tags in all the vehicles brought in for service.
• Ensure cleanliness of vehicles before they are delivered to customers to include washing and vacuuming as needed.
• Drives vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot.
• Maintains the parking lot in a neat and organized manner.
• Ensure that all the vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked.
• Assists in moving disabled vehicles in or around the service department.
• Retrieves customer vehicles from the parking lot, as needed.
• Delivers and picks up guests, as needed.
• Helps maintain a professional appearance of the service departments and the courtesy van.
• Inspects each vehicle for lot damage that may have occurred during the vehicles stay in the service department.
• May be required to record any external vehicle damage (i.e. scratches, dents) and vehicle information on check-in sheet and submits to designed personnel.
• Must follow all company safety policies, operations and practices.
• Assists in all other areas of the service department, as needed.
• Maintains high ethical standards.
• Maintains professional appearance at all times.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The individual should possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent, desired.
• Entry level; less than 12 months of automotive valet services experience.
• Minimum of six (6) months customer service experience, desired.
• Excellent guest relations skills.
• Ability to coordinate activities with other employees; pay attention to detail; read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language; work well with the public.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and maintain an acceptable, safe driving record.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Individual will be required to:

• Withstand outdoor weather conditions, as the seasons dictate.
• Frequently required to sit or stand for long periods of time; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.
• Regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds.
