What are the responsibilities and job description for the Group Sales Executive position at Pensacola Blue Wahoos?

Summary/Objective
This person should be an outgoing, energetic, and creative sales professional who is a clear self-starter with strong sales and relationship skills. This position will oversee organization and development of all community relations functions and related group prospecting and selling activity throughout the Northwest Florida market.

Essential Functions
• Identify and solicit new local and regional corporate partners for the organization
• Cold Call & prospect new leads every day (40 calls a day)
• Develop customized group programs using inventory controlled by the organization to generate net revenue and meet the needs of clients
• Maintain group sales inventory
• Daily reporting of sales and goals
• Responsible for all groups areas
• Develop and implement group incentives
• Ensure all groups are serviced
• Customer service to all groups pre-/post-game

Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Excellent, proven cold calling skills
2. High level of integrity
3. Strong negotiating skills
4. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize goals
5. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
6. Technically proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel)
7. Strong skills in PowerPoint
8. Strong analytical skills
9. Strong team work skills as well as the ability to work independently and self-motivate
10. Strong time management and organizational skills
11. Strong presentation skills
12. Ability to handle multiple tasks
13. Being able to think outside the box
14. Ability to attend company events
15. Ability to work in fast paced environment
16. Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
17. Ability to drive to outside events

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree preferred, experience in customer service required.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours will vary to include evening and weekend work according to business needs.

Physical Demands
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The key physical requirements of this position includes the ability to walk and stand for an extended period of time, lift up to 30 pounds, and the use of standard office equipment including computers.
