Staff Accountant
Are you an organized, detail-oriented accounting professional looking to make a difference in your community? The Pennyrile Area Development District (PeADD) is seeking Staff Accountants to join our dedicated team working to improve the quality of life in our nine-county region and beyond.
About the Role:
As a Staff Accountant at PeADD, you’ll play a key role in managing budgets, preparing grant reports, and ensuring financial accuracy across our community programs. You’ll collaborate with case managers, handle complex reconciliations, and support payroll and billing processes—all within a supportive, mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and manage individualized budgets for Participant Directed Services (PDS) clients, aligned with approved service plans.
- Generate and analyze monthly spending reports; work with case managers to implement budget corrections.
- Assist with payroll processing and accounts payable.
- Maintain accurate electronic financial records and documentation.
- Support medical billing and ensure compliance with PDS program guidelines.
- Understand and track expenses using cost centers and account coding.
What You’ll Bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (required)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an office setting
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting (required)
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills
- Attention to detail with a high standard of accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting
