Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages using various brewing methods and equipment, including espresso machines and coffee grinders.
- Assist in food preparation and food handling to ensure fresh, safe, and appealing menu items are available for guests.
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS accurately for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions.
- Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, taking orders efficiently, and addressing any questions or concerns with enthusiasm.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food prep stations, seating areas, and equipment to adhere to food safety standards.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
- Support retail sales by engaging with customers on product offerings and promoting specials or new items.
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred; familiarity with café operations is a plus.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is highly desirable.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately using basic math skills and retail math principles.
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, food preparation techniques, and proper food handling procedures.
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during high-volume periods.
