We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our 2ND Shift Team in Glasgow, MO. Under general supervision, you will maintain, troubleshoot, and service electrical and electronic systems, machinery, and controls. You will ensure the safe, efficient operation of our equipment to preserve facility production and quality standards, reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Safety & Compliance: Perform all duties collaboratively and safely. Follow all PPE, Environmental Health and Safety, and OSHA regulations for machinery startup and shutdown. Immediately report hazards.
  • Electrical Maintenance: Layout, assemble, install, test, and repair electrical fixtures, apparatus, circuits, panels, breakers, and conduits.
  • Troubleshooting: Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams, and drawings to calibrate and service electronic devices. Troubleshoot electric controls, motor control centers, and Allen Bradley PLCs.
  • Mechanical & PM Support: Diagnose mechanical issues, perform routine preventive maintenance (PMs), clean/lubricate parts, and inspect drives, motors, and belts.
  • Operations Support: Support departments with day-to-day electrical issues, log shift highlights, and share technical/safety knowledge with fellow maintenance technicians.
  • Fabrication & Compliance: Operate cutting torches or welding equipment when needed. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly checks for GFSI requirements and maintain comprehensive equipment logs.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: High School diploma or GED required. Technical/professional certification or completion of an apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Experience: 2 years of experience or equivalent training in industrial high-voltage electrical maintenance (480 volts).
  • Technical Knowledge: Proven troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems. Experience with AC/DC circuits and Allen Bradley PLCs is required. National Electrical Code (NEC) experience is a plus.
  • Core Skills: Solid practical math skills (fractions, decimals, whole numbers). Ability to communicate effectively in one-on-one or small group settings.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Physical Demands: Shift requires 7–8 hours of standing, walking, bending, twisting, and pushing/pulling.
  • Lifting: Frequent lifting of up to 10 lbs; occasional lifting of 11–50 lbs.
  • Heights & Equipment: Ability to climb ladders, operate scissor lifts, and work at heights up to 25 feet around moving machinery.
  • Environment: Must tolerate industrial environments featuring loud noise, heat, dust, fumes, and marked changes in temperature.
  • Availability: Must be available for overtime (OT) as required.
  • Contingency: Hires are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening and background check.
