Job Summary:

The Coordinated Entry System (CES) Therapist/Outpatient Therapist is co-located at LA Housing Family (LAFH) in North Hollywood and provides mental health services to homeless participants for 75% of their 40-hour work week (30 hours). 25% of the CES Therapist/Outpatient Therapist's 40-hour work week (10 hours) will be delivering mental health services to the clinic. The CES Therapist performs mental health screenings on all referred LAFH participants in order to identify whether they are in need of mental health treatment. If treatment is indicated, linkage to treatment is initiated by the CES Therapist. Participants may be linked to Mental Health Supportive Services, if eligible, or the DMH network of providers. Other services provided by the CES Therapist at LAFH include crisis intervention/crisis counseling, case management and linkage, as well as training and consultation to the LAFH staff.

The CES/Outpatient Therapist is an enthusiastic self-starter who is able to work comfortably in a team environment, as well as independently. The CES/Outpatient Therapist must possess strong leadership, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills. In this role, this individual must be able to make decisions, utilize excellent judgment and be able to stay calm under pressure and during crisis situations. This position also requires flexibility and the ability to manage time and tasks with little direct supervision.

Requirements:

  • Education - a minimum of a master's degree in the behavioral sciences field.
  • Active MFT Intern or ASW Intern registered with the BBS or Active Licensed LMFT, LCSW or Psychologist.
  • Clinical Experience - a minimum of two to five years as a clinician in a behavioral health field.
  • Experience working with the homeless population is preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of DMH documentation standards is preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish Required (verbal and written skillset).
  • Valid California driver's license; current automobile insurance; have and maintain a clean driving record acceptable to the organization's insurance company; have immediate access to his or her vehicle during work hours.

Position Location: North Hills, CA

Salary Range: $74,513 - $93,003 per year

Additional $5,000 per year bilingual Spanish differential

Flexible schedules are available upon successful completion of introductory period.

Eligible employees may request up to 5 days of Paid Time Off to study for their licensure.
