Operator - Automated Spray Line - 1st Shift
Summary:
We are seeking a dependable Spray Line Operator to run our automated spray line, dry oven, and UV curing tunnel. This role includes loading chemicals, monitoring production, maintaining quality standards, and performing routine cleaning and maintenance. The job is physically demanding and requires working in noisy, dusty, and hot conditions.
Job DutiesResponsibilities:
- Set up and operate spray line equipment, dry oven, and curing tunnel
- Load/unload products and chemicals
- Follow SOPs and QC standards using work instructions and visual checks
- Ensure correct coatings and materials are used; verify part numbers and specifications
- Communicate production needs with supervisor and team
- Perform operator-level preventative maintenance, including filter changes and equipment cleaning
- Support continuous improvement in safety, efficiency, and organization
Additional duties required:
- Oversee the efficiency of operators feeding and catching on the line.
- Working closely with engineering and management.
Required Qualifications:
- Previous machine operating experience (2 years)
- Excellent math skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Problem-solving acuity
Working Conditions:
- Work in noisy, dusty, and warm/hot environments
- Lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and 15–20 lbs repeatedly
- Exposure to chemicals that will require PPE and safe handling procedures
