Pennsylvania Steel, a Steel Service Center in Ashland, VA is looking for an Operations Staff member to join our team.

Main Duties/Responsibilities
Our Operations Staff play a critical role in supporting the daily workflow of our warehouse and ensuring accurate, efficient processing of customer orders. This position requires strong attention to detail, solid product knowledge, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while upholding Pennsylvania Steel’s commitment to service and accuracy.
Skills required & Physical Demands
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating all customer work orders– both filled and unfilled–while ensuring inventory is properly allocated based on product requirements and availability. Operations Staff prepare all shipping documentation, including packing lists and bills of lading, ensuring each document contains accurate measurements, weights, customer information, and any required supporting paperwork. The role also includes organizing Work Order/Shipper packages for final invoicing, maintaining clear communication with warehouse personnel to support order flow, and entering data accurately into internal systems to ensure timely processing and delivery.
Required Experience:
Qualifications:
Experience in a steel service center or a similar
College background or significant experience.
Computer proficiency in Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Excellent attendance and safety record required.
Has ability to work on their own.
Must be a team player.
