Enrollment Anaytics Analyst
The Enrollment Management division is seeking an Enrollment Analytics Analyst to help lead data analytics functions for a newly created Enrollment Analytics and Strategic Insights Unit that is charged with aggregating and leveraging data to fuel and frame enrollment policy, practice and strategy implementation across the entirety of the student lifecycle. Such analysis contributes to efforts to elevate and enhance the market position and profile of the institution through the development and implementation of a more data-informed approach to marketing, recruitment, and retention strategy and practice
More than perhaps any other factor, the degree to which a university attracts and retains qualified students determines the success or failure of that institution. The newly created Enrollment Management (EM) division is a key player in this activity and has a profound effect on the institution's success. The division is committed to developing a data-informed, forward-looking, comprehensive enrollment strategy that enables the institution to pursue strategic goals in an integrated and intentional manner.

Education and experience:
Typically requires a Bachelor's degree or higher and 4 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
The individual in this position must understand the uses of student information within a university setting and work to enhance the quality and utility of the data produced from various systems. Strong technical and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to think critically and analytically, work independently and handle multiple tasks. The ability to distill and convey findings clearly is a critical component of the work. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

Leverage data management, analysis, and visualization skills to develop and standardize meaningful, user-friendly reports and dashboards for monitoring progress towards achievement of key enrollment outcomes related to quality, quantity, diversity and net tuition revenue. This includes reports and dashboards addressing market position, admissions, enrollment, credit hour production, and financial aid as well as student retention, graduation, and persistence metrics.

Build queries to extract and aggregate data from various sources, including student database and CRM systems, other University offices, the University data warehouse, as well as external agencies and institutions.

Monitor and clean large data sets to ensure reporting efficiency and accuracy. Collaborate with internal partners to identify, investigate, and resolve data quality issues.

Analyze quantitative and qualitative data to inform decision-making. Discover and communicate significant patterns, trends, and stories with enrollment data; provide recommendations based on analysis.

Utilize predictive modeling across the enrollment lifecycle to assist leadership and operational staff with planning, resource allocation and operational decisions.

We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:

Proficiency in data analysis, data visualization, and reporting, with experience cleaning and manipulating large, complex datasets.

Advanced practical experience with BI and data analysis software (Tableau, PowerBI, SAS, SPSS, Excel, etc.) required. Proficiency using SQL to query data stored in relational databases strongly preferred. Programming experience (e.g., R, Python, SAS) is a plus.

Demonstrated understanding of data structures and common methods of data extraction and transformation.

Experience with relational databases required; Student information systems and customer relationship systems is a plus.

Ability to analyze data, recognize patterns, and provide informed recommendations to support decision making. Experience developing and implementing predictive models desired.

Strong technical, organizational, and interpersonal skills are essential, as well as the ability to think critically, work independently, work collaboratively and solve problems creatively.

Excellent data visualization, report preparation, and written communication skills; ability to summarize and present analytic findings in ways that are accessible to non-technical audiences.

Demonstrated curiosity and persistence in navigating technical challenges.

Understanding of, or interest in, higher education enrollment management is a plus.
