The Facilities Manageroversees all aspects of building functions and guarantees the safety and functionality of all facilities. Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, maintaining records, and supervising facilities / maintenance staff. This is a 'working manager' position and will be expected to be able to function in a maintenance technician capacity as needed in addition to manage the facilities.
Objectives of this role
- Ensure all building facilities adhere to proper safety standards and cleaning procedures
- Maintain equipment and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements
- Organize and plan building installments and refurbishments
- Supervise facilities staff and communicate with external contractors and vendors
- Handle insurance contracts
- Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol
